Welcome to the Official Bladnoch Folk & Blues Festival Website...
In the summer of 2007, after a few alcohol induced conversations, the idea of the Bladnoch Festival was formed. Giving ourselves only 3 months to put together a programme, secure funding and sponsorship and everything else that putting on a festival entails, it looked doubtful that it would ever happen.
However, on the 24th - 26th August, 2007, the event did indeed take place and not only that, but with artists such as internationally acclaimed guitarist - Martin Taylor, founder of the European Blues Association - Michael Roach as well as greats such as Lightnin’ Willie, Michael Marra and Claire Mann to name but a few, the whole weekend was a roaring success. So much so, that it was voted Scotland’s No. 1 gig for that weekend by the Sunday Times!
So what else could we do but try it all again this year!
